Nature of the platform
中大伴你搬 | CUHKBuddyMove is a voluntary mutual-help information platform among CUHK students. It helps contact and assess whether move-in, move-out, on-campus carrying, or small item pick-ups are practical. This project is not a commercial delivery, shopping, moving, or for-profit service, and is not an official or authorised service of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK).
No guarantee of matching or outcomes
Submitting the form or contacting a volunteer only means making a request. Student helpers assess timing, location, item size, weather, safety, and capacity. We do not guarantee that every request will be accepted, matched, or completed on time. Organisers may politely decline or reschedule any request.
Voluntary support and actual costs
If participants voluntarily share actual costs such as fuel or parking between themselves, that is a private arrangement and not a service charge or commercial transaction through this platform. This site does not collect, record, or require any monetary support. Do not treat mutual help as commercial passenger transport or a for-profit operation.
Risks and liability
Personal safety, property damage, delays, or other losses involved in mutual help are for participants to assess and bear. Volunteers and site operators accept no liability for any direct, indirect, or consequential loss arising from mutual help. Do not carry hazardous, prohibited, excessively heavy, or unreasonable items.
Campus rules and law
Participants must follow CUHK campus rules, hostel regulations, and applicable laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (including rules related to road use and safety where relevant). For emergencies or danger, contact the University or emergency services directly — do not rely on this site alone.
Intellectual property and non-official branding
This site’s name, wording, and design do not imply CUHK authorisation or endorsement. Do not promote the project using imagery or language that could be understood as an official CUHK service or mark.

We may update this page from time to time; material changes will be noted with an updated date. Continued use of the site means you understand and accept the current version.
